If you're anything like us, you've been listening to Brand New Eyes, the third studio album from Tennessee-bred quintet Paramore, since its release last month. I recently visited vocalist Hayley and bassist Jeremy backstage at their sold-out gig at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom to chat about BNE's chart success, their former funk band, and what it was like to tour with No Doubt this summer. Read our exclusive interview here.

Our two favorite fashion moguls have
done it again! On the heels of their wildly successful labels, The Row and
Elizabeth & James, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have partnered with JCPenney
to launch their newest line, Olsenboye, a youthful mixture of urban chic and
bohemian edge. The girls been all around NYC this past week passing out free
cupcakes and showing off pieces from the new line in the Olsenboye Treat Truck,
an ice cream truck they converted into a shop on wheels. The best part is you
don’t have to hold your breath when turning over price tags—jeans, dresses,
shoes, and more are all at a price point of around $20-$50. Mark your calendars
because the line will officially debut in February 2010 at JCPenney stores
nationwide. And speaking of creations from celebs’ imaginations, Selena Gomez
is also launching her first eco-friendly clothing line, Dream Out Loud. The
environmentally and socially conscious actress, who recently spent time in
Ghana raising money for children’s
organizations there, is in the process of creating a line of dresses, floral
tops, jeans, and accessories that will all be made with organic materials and is
due out in 2010.
What do you think about celebs
turned designers? Will you support the Olsens' and Selena’s new lines?

Sienna Miller just made her Broadway debut in After Miss Julie,
Patrick Marber’s adaptation of August Strindberg’s 19th-century play
about class, seduction, and the battle of the sexes, which debuted last
night at the Roundabout Theatre Company’s American Airlines Theatre.
Miller chose a dramatic look for the premiere: a glittery, asymmetrical
minidress from Balmain’s spring 2010 collection.

Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, which stars Christopher Plummer, Tom Waits, Heath Ledger, and Lily Cole, follows the fantastical tale of a traveling
theater troupe that lets its audience members transcend reality through
a mirror with supernatural abilities. Titian-tressed beauty Cole, who
plays the title character’s daughter, looked ethereal at the film’s
Rome Film Festival premiere, in a black corset gown by Dolce &
Gabbana that may have had some magical powers of its own.

At the New York premiere of Where the Wild Things Are, Blake Lively wore a ferociously sexy
feathered frock by Marchesa. And that's not where the film's sartorial
inspiration ends: Spike Jonze is celebrating his highly anticipated
adaptation of the 1963 children’s classic by Maurice Sendak, by
collaborating on a faux-fur clothing line with Opening Ceremony. For more on their untamed accoutrements, click here.
Do you dream of being a model-actress? 16-year-old Brittany Martinez does too! And now, thanks to winning ELLEgirl’s Annual Nationwide Model Search, her dream has become a reality. While on vacation in Dallas, Texas with her mom, Brittany got a call with the good news and, soon after, she was on a plane to NYC! Once arriving in Manhattan, the Eagle, Idaho native was whisked away to a luxury downtown apartment where a gift basket with goodies awaited her. But the best part was yet to come—as part of Brittany’s prize package, she scored an acting spot on CBS’ award-winning daytime drama Guiding Light (right before its bittersweet end). Even better: After her TV debut, Brittany got to do a glamorous photo shoot with GL cutie Zack Conroy! The photos were snapped by celebrity photographer Francis Hills, who has also worked with Megan Fox and Kimora Lee Simmons.
Even though Brittany’s fabulous time in New York was brief, her moment in the spotlight didn’t end there. Not only is she kicking back at home with a free, year’s supply of SoBe water but—with the help of ELLEgirl—she now has good representation both locally and in NYC. Oh, and did we mention that her new acting coach is none other than Cody Linley’s mom?!? (Hmm. Wonder whether Brittany’s ever met the Hannah Montana hottie…)
Stay tuned for news on how you can be the next ELLEgirl Model Search winner! Until then, check out these pics of Brittany, Zack, and EG Model Search runner-up Ally Taylor.

In director Alejandro Amenabar’s historical epic Agora, Rachel Weisz
plays the brilliant 4th-century astronomer-philosopher Hypatia of
Alexandria. Weisz’s sartorial wisdom was certainly evident at the
film’s Madrid premiere: The actress wore a scene-stealing
strapless Prada dress in a dramatic red hue with a sparkly jeweled
neckline.
Predictably, Stella McCartney’s spring 2010 show at Paris Fashion Week
drew a heady array of boldface names: Sir Paul supported his designer
daughter from the front row, as did Charlotte Rampling and pal Gwyneth
Paltrow, who looked casually chic in a structured white blazer by
McCartney and a pair of acid-wash jeans.

Just as New York’s fashion elite were giving their Jimmy Choos a rest after this season’s Bryant Park shows, it was once again time to don sky-high heels at Brooklyn’s Fashion Week(end). A showcase of New York’s up-and-coming designers from across the bridge, designers like Alisha Trimble and Loris Diran stole the show. As always, Trimble’s collection showed us all that the perfect cocktail dress does exist. Feminine frocks in an array of neutral rich beiges and grays were accented with black ribbon details for a clean, sleek look. Always the favorite among young fashionistas, Trimble’s party dresses promise a great night out. Diran’s collection was classically simple with bright layered garden party dresses and fuss-free layered gowns with an ethereal edge. Three of the Real Housewives of New York City (Kelly, Alex, and Ramona) showed their support for Diran by turning out their best runway walks as they headed down the catwalk in the designer’s gowns. And, fashion wasn’t the only focus of the night. Sprinkled throughout the runway shows, local Brooklyn artists gave the audience something to bob their heads to. Thirteen-year-old rapper The Astronomical Kid and his 12-year-old DJ rocked the house. A perfect mix of fashion and music, hats off to BK for a flawless New York night.
