For the CW upfronts, Leighton Meester traded in Blair Waldorf's feminine frocks for flirty menswear. In pairing a Jil Saunder shorts suit with mile-high Brian Atwood heels, we think the Gossip Girl star pulled off the look well! What do you think of Leighton's sleek, tailored ensemble? Sound off now.

At BMI’s 57th Annual Pop Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, Taylor Swift scored major points for her music—and her red carpet ensemble. Wearing a tiered Cynthia Steffe dress with Louboutin peep-toes, Swift snagged a BMI Pop Award for her hit “Teardrops on My Guitar,” as well as a BMI President’s Award for her influence on the music industry.

So, what did you think of dark horse Kris Allen’s upset over Adam Lambert on last night’s American Idol season finale? Allen, for one, was pretty surprised! Does either have the potential for commercial success of, say, AI’s inaugural victor, Kelly Clarkson? Or, a Tony nomination, like fourth-season alum Constantine Maroulis (who recently chatted with ELLE.com about his role in Broadway’s Rock of Ages)? And most importantly, which season-eight contestant had the best style? Let's discuss!

For the Monday night premiere of her new movie, Easy Virtue, Jessica Biel chose a glam one-shouldered 3.1 Phillip Lim gown with snakeskin Christian Louboutin heels and fabulous Louis Vuitton jewels. Off the red carpet, Jessica’s scoring points as well—for being a cool girlfriend, that is! Though she was surprised by BF Justin Timberlake’s reference to ex Britney Spears in a recent Saturday Night Live sketch, Jessica says she got a good laugh out of it. “I thought it was really funny,” she tells the New York Daily News.

It's Prom Night tonight at West Beverly High School, and it looks like this Hollywood-themed dance will be nothing short of a night to remember: Between mismatched dates and sneaky after-parties, the highly-anticipated episode of 90210 is bound to be a drama fest!
To get ready for the blowout, Clean & Clear partnered with the CW's hit show via their “Countdown to Prom” sweepstakes and gave two lucky girls (best friends Jenna Matus and Kayla Law of Hauppauge, New York) walk-on roles in tonight's eppy. (You’ll get a sneak peek at their experience on the set of 90210 during an exclusive behind-the-scenes spot tonight.)
But here’s the best part: ELLEgirl is also teaming up with Clean & Clear for an awesome giveaway of our own! Check out our sweeps page for info on how to score a camera, clutch, jewelry, and more (estimated retail value: $329).
Making her first public appearance since the highly publicized Chris Brown incident, Rihanna stole the spotlight at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala last night. Ditching your typical ball gown for an oh-so-fierce menswear look, the pop star paired a strong-shouldered, shiny tux with a bow-tie, leather gloves, and killer heels. We’re so happy to have our beloved fashionista back! Though RiRi’s comeback performance, previously set for May 28th in Dubai, has been cancelled we hope to see more of her.

Leighton Meester stunned onlookers at the West Cost premiere of Star Trek last night. Keeping up with the futuristic theme, Leighton wore a sleek gray Yves Saint Laurent dress. Complementing the otherwise simplistic look by piling on bangles and carrying a chic black sequined clutch, Leighton’s outfit wasn’t the only eye catching detail: This Gossip Girl recently revamped her look by dying her luscious brunette locks to a notably lighter shade.

Last night, fellow ELLEgirl staffer Emily Hebert and I checked out the inaugural event of Music Unites, a cool new non-profit dedicated to promoting live musical acts in unconventional venues. We chatted with founder Michelle Edgar to hear about the organization's plans, and best of all, caught performaces by Blue October and Tamarama, the Aussie band fronted by Jay Lyon from The City (who posed for a cute pic with me).
