Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift sang a sweet duet at this month’s Grammy Awards, and now Miley’s frenemy, Selena Gomez, is hoping to team up with the country music singer as well. The Disney star is busy making her first album due out this summer. Selena told AceShowbiz that she’s a fan of Taylor because she “is not just plain country, [but] she’s got a little pop edge to her.” Could Taylor be making room for a new best friend? I don't consider Selena Gomez as a "singer" because bluntly, she's not very good at it. She's talented yes, but not in that criteria. Why must Swift and Cyrus do a duet and now Gomez has to join the party? Two very unrealtable voices can make things awkward. And yes, I agree about that whole "Country and Pop" stuff xD

Hmmm I Love Both Taylor&Selena, But I Don't Think A Duet With Both Of Them Is Good. Not Because They Are Bad Singers, But Because They Both Have High Pitched Singing Voices. THere Wouldn't Really Be Variation, I Think. We'll All Just Have To Wait And See Though! And People Should Really Stop With The TEAM MILEY & TEAM SELENA thing. It's Really Fricking Annoying And It's So Obvious That It Annoys Selena And Miley. I Personally Like Selena, Taylor, Miley, AND Demi. Idk About Mandy Though Because I Don't Know Much About Her, But I'm Just Neutral About Her.

what's wrong with "just plain country"?
i personally don't hear anything pop about taylor's music, except in the remixes. which is why they are REmixes.
why can't anyone just stick to acting OR singing? take a page from emma watson- she's always wanted to be a singer, but she knows she's better at acting so that's what she's doing.

Oh please, no. Sorry Selena, you are a talented actress. But you are not on par with Taylor Swift when it comes to songwriting or singing.
She has an okay voice, but so do millions of other people that are trying to make it right now. Please stick to acting.
tswift is amazing and I think the Miley/Taylor duet worked because they are both SINGERS. Selena is not a singer, she's an actress. She is very good at that, and she doesn't have to try to sing.

so I like Selena, Miley, and Taylor. And Miley and Taylor performing at the Grammy's was great. And I do really like both of their styles of music, because I love country and pop. So the combination is great.
But I don't really think that Selena and Taylor would go well together. Only because Selena is mostly an actress, and honestly, she isn't very talented musically. I do encourage her to continue with both her music and acting career, but not with Taylor. I just don't think that would be great.

I don't understand why people have such a hard time admitting that Taylor Swift sings country music. If her music is "pop" why do they need to change the original version of her songs to play them on pop stations? Don't take your stereotypical distaste for country music out on Taylor, because if you call her a pop artist you're calling her something she's not...and she's proud of what she is: a country music artist (just read her blog from after the CMAs).

I've never understood why Taylor is considered a country music artist. Putting the words "pick-up truck" in every other song and throwing in a banjo here and there does not make you country. I'd consider her the opposite of Selena's description: pop music with a little country edge.
Anyway, I'd be interested to see what kind of collaboration they could come up with.
