New Moon, the Twilight sequel, has gotten tons of casting buzz—and production hasn’t even started yet! While Vanessa Hudgens denies the rumors, word is that she auditioned for the role of female werewolf Leah Clearwater. And, of course, we’ve all heard about the battle between Taylor Lautner and Michael Copon for the role of Jacob! The latest celeb to get tapped for Twilight, round two? Dakota Fanning! The actress is reportedly in talks to star as Jane, a deadly vampire with a "Botticelli angel-like face [and] crimson irises," according to the literary version of New Moon. Sounds like the young starlet can look the part, but do you think she can play the part? –Christa Lee

Every family has their quirks, but for the clan in the new horror film The Uninvited that includes an evil stepmother and a ghost. After a stint in the hospital to deal with her mother’s tragic death, Anna Rydell (Emily Browning) returns home and finds that her father is engaged to her mother’s former nurse, Rachael (Elizabeth Banks). When her mother's ghost warns Anna that Rachael isn’t trustworthy, she and her sister Alex must convince their father that his fiancée is not who she pretends to be.
The Uninvited hits theaters January 30th. Meanwhile, we have an exclusive clip from the movie where the sisters chat about their creepy stepmom-to-be. For a scary sneak peek, check out the footage here! —Christa Lee
There have been weeks of—well, gossip—that Gossip Girl’s Jenny Humphrey (portrayed by Taylor Momsen) would star in a spin-off show based on the spin-off book series, The It Girl. However, as Gossip producers have proven in the past, book plots aren’t always strictly followed. (In the Gossip Girl novels, Chuck Bass is gay, not Eric van der Woodsen!) The latest twist? Instead of “Little J” it will be Lily van der Woodsen (played by Kelly Rutherford) who’s getting her own gig. But no worries—there won’t be any more disgusting scenes of middle-aged people making out (see: Lily and Rufus’ recent PDA at the opera). Instead, the new series will travel back in time to the ‘80s and focus on Lily as a crazy teenager caught up in the Hollywood scene. Will the younger Lily match her daughter Serena's party habits? Watch the pilot episode on May 11th to find out. –Christa Lee Photos: Retna
The Art of Elysium, a nonprofit organization that invites actors, artists, and musicians to spend time with children fighting serious medical conditions, recently held its annual black-tie gala in Los Angeles. Kirsten Dunst, set to star in Spider-Man 4, donated her superhero fashion sense to the worthy cause, attending the bash in an ultrafeminine ruffled Valentino gown. –Erin

In celebration of Barbie's 50th birthday, she's teamed up with Stila Cosmetics and created a perfect collection of makeup goodies! A beauty junkie from the beginning, Barbie's new collection will feature Barbie Pink beauty cans ($40 each) from four different decades (the 1959 Ponytail Doll, the 1971 Malibu Doll, the 1980 Foxy Doll, and the 2000 Jewel Doll) that will each include a lipstick, eyeliner, eye shadow, and cheek color or bronzer. And for all of you aspiring Barbie beauties, Stila’s talking Barbie palette ($40) will help you achieve Barbie’s iconic look with just the press of a button. This limited-edition collection will be hitting Sephora stores in February, but if you really want to snag one of the 40,000 beauty cans being produced I'd advise you to keep checking back on sephora.com now because beauty insiders are predicting this collection will sell out just as fast as Barbie's last beauty collaboration with M.A.C. Forget Miley—before Hannah Montana there was Lizzie McGuire! And now Disney’s original it-girl is coming back to TV: Under a deal with NBC, Hilary Duff is going to star in a new comedy called Barely Legal, based on the true story of Kathleen Holtz, who in 2007 became California’s youngest lawyer at age 18. We’re glad this is a sitcom because, in our minds, Hilary will always be that fun-loving, slightly awkward teenager with her own cartoon character. – Adrienne Kasper
