New Moon, the Twilight sequel, has gotten tons of casting buzz—and production hasn’t even started yet! While Vanessa Hudgens denies the rumors, word is that she auditioned for the role of female werewolf Leah Clearwater. And, of course, we’ve all heard about the battle between Taylor Lautner and Michael Copon for the role of Jacob! The latest celeb to get tapped for Twilight, round two? Dakota Fanning! The actress is reportedly in talks to star as Jane, a deadly vampire with a "Botticelli angel-like face [and] crimson irises," according to the literary version of New Moon. Sounds like the young starlet can look the part, but do you think she can play the part? –Christa Lee

i think dakota is an amazing actress and can pull off anything, but not vanessa she jus cant act at all

Dakota's a professional, more of a prodigy when it comes to the movie business. She can pull off anything! (She's even more higher paid than Kristen so there's no doubt about it.)

dakota is awesome. if u think she can't act, then you know nothing about acting. although i didn't picture her as Jane, i'll be happy she got the part because i know her chops won't screw this up.people, stop complaining.

I dont think she looks the part for Jane. Shes too young and doesnt look intimadating at all. I really dont think she should play her. She doesnt look anything like her.

Genoius! I think people should give her a break. She's the most sought after young actress in Hollywood. I personally am not crazy about Twilight,but she'd be terrific in my opinion. And who cares if she's too sweet, that's why they call it ACTING!

I like her, but I don't think she could be Jane. Purely because Jane appears more menacing, and is also very androgenous. But, guessing about the amount of hype this has created, she'll prob get the part. But I hope Vanessa Hudgens isn't in the film. That'd suck.

She's a good actress. Of course she will do good...not really a fan of Twilight though...
Taylor Lautner is HOTT. Michael Copon is SEXY. Honestly, I havent seen Twilight. But, if Michael Copon is in it I would...even though Ive seen almost every tv show and movie Taylor Lautner has been in......

I think she s great for the part plus she s an amazing actress. In hide & seek was quite scaring so i guess she would fit perfectly for the Jane role play.

She has the right look, but she's too sweet to play Jane, and I just don't see her as fitting into the Twilight Saga.
