Sorry girls, it looks like the oldest Jonas Brother is now engaged! In the past Kevin’s relationship has been kept on the down low, but now after two years of dating his longtime girlfriend, Danielle Deleasa, he decided to pop the big question. The teen heartthrob showed up at Danielle’s doorstep on Wednesday morning with a 3-carat cushion-cut diamond ring he co-designed with Jacob & Co. He surprised her by a taking an overnight flight from his Toronto concert, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She not only said “yes” but according to Kevin she said “yes, yes, yes” like 500 times! The couple met in 2007 while they were each vacationing with their families in the Bahamas and have been together ever since. Kevin remembers noticing Danielle walking on the beach and soon after he began pursuing her. Wow, what a lucky girl!

The 9th annual BET Awards, held at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium last Sunday, shifted gears to celebrate the life of Michael Jackson with tributes from host Jamie Foxx, Ne Yo, and Beyoncé, among others. Beyoncé, nominated for five trophies, including Video of the Year and Best Actress, called MJ her “teacher and hero.” The I am Sasha Fierce singer performed a medley of “Ave Maria” and Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel,” in an angelic white frock. But on the red carpet, she went for color, wearing a dazzling Balmain minidress and purple stilettos.

Katie Holmes is much more than Tom Cruise’s wife—she’s talented too! Last year, the former Dawson’s Creek star showed off her dance moves when she guest-starred as a sexy jazz dancer in Eli Stone. Many of us may have thought that would be the last time she’d put on her dancing shoes, however it seems she had no intention of stopping there. For weeks now she has been rehearsing with choreographer Tyce Diorio for her upcoming performance on So You Think You Can Dance. It’s been reported that she will be in a massive musical number that honors Judy Garland, singing "Get Happy” from the 1950 musical Summer Stock. Now the only question is, “When will it air?” We’ll keep you posted!

Talk about fabulous finds! Nicole by OPI’s new Nic’s Sticks Paint and Go Lacquers are a must-have for every girl-on-the-go. With a simple shake and pump you can easily update your look without revamping your wardrobe. Plus, the names of the polishes are so fun (my faves are “Where’s My Chocolate” and “Feeling Girly”)! But the best part is that each nail polish pen makes applying color super-easy, and the formula dries in seconds. Seriously, what could be better than that? Oh, yeah, did I mention they only cost around $7 each? Pretty affordable, but if you win ELLEgirl’s OPI sweepstakes, you can get a bunch of ‘em for free…

Public Enemies, Michael Mann’s gangster biopic on notorious Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger, made its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival Tuesday night. Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard, who stars as the love interest of Dillinger (played by Johnny Depp), looked dangerously chic in a silk-crepe mosaic-print number and blue python clutch from Elie Saab’s ready-to-wear fall 2009 collection.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America held its 2009 awards ceremony at New York’s Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts Monday night. On the red carpet, Spiderman star Kirsten Dunst stole the spotlight in a hand-marbled silk chiffon and tulle minidress by winning sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, whose Rodarte label was honored at the ceremony. To top off her fab ensemble, Dunst wore gray patent buckle sandals by Nicholas Kirkwood.

A Beautiful Life won’t hit the small screen until September so when this clip leaked on YouTube we got hooked instantly. We totally feel for Sonja, Mischa Barton’s character, when Zac Posen (played by himself!) chooses new girl Raina to walk the runway instead of her (meow!). Raina and her friend, fellow model Christopher, plan on clawing their way to the top—and no one, particularly Sonja, is going to stand in their way. Tune in this fall to find out what happens…

With the Twilight frenzy still in full force, it’s no surprise that the CW has decided to bite into the vampire craze! This fall the network plans on bringing the young adult novels by L.J. Smith to life with its new fall series Vampire Diaries. The plot revolves around a high school girl, played by Nina Dobrev, who finds herself torn between two different guys. Unlike Twilight, however, the love triangle does not involve a girl who’s caught between a vampire and werewolf. Instead, the series focuses on the connection the heroine has with her two vampire brothers, played by Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder (remember him from Smallville and Lost?), who are battling for her soul and the souls of those she loves.

It looks like Joe Jonas isn’t done breakin’ hearts, specifically Taylor Swift’s. It appears that the former sweethearts are now having a public war of words—er, well battle of lyrics to be exact. After Taylor was vocally open about Joe Jonas breaking up with her over a 27-second phone call last year, fans began speculating if her hit song "Forever and Always" was about the couple’s split. Months later, it appears that Joe is firing back in The Jonas Brothers’ latest song “Much Better”, which is off the group’s forthcoming album Lines, Vines and Trying Times. The hurtful lyrics call out Taylor’s 2007 song “Teardrops on my Guitar”—and reference Joe’s new GF Camilla Belle (i.e. “the girl in front of me”). Check out the telltale lyrics below…
I get a rep for breakin' hearts
Now I'm done with superstars
And all the tears on her guitar
I'm not bitter
But now I see
Everything I'd ever need
Is the girl in front of me
She's much better

Nerdy little wizard no more! Emma Watson may have started her career as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies but she has certainly grown into her own—the new Burberry fall 2009 campaign marks the actress’s fashion debut. Appearing classic yet edgy in sleek new ads shot by Mario Testino in Westminster, London, Emma made quite an impression on Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s creative director: “Emma has a classic beauty, a great character and a modern edge,” Bailey tells the UK’s Daily Mail of the starlet. “I felt Emma would be strong enough to hold the campaign as the only girl, and I loved the idea of her being surrounded by these young, cool British guys.” Lucky girl!
